Meeting Etiquette
I figured I would write this up in order to help people to have successful meets and to streamline the process of our gatherings. Also these are just tips not rules so there are here as recommendations.
Set Up
When setting up a meet it is always good to give all important info (such as date, time and meeting place) in advance (at least a few days) in order to allow people to plan for the meet.
Avoid last minute changes to the date, time and location as this could leave people confused and lost as to were the meet is.
If your attending a meet then it is a good idea to post that your coming so that people know whom they are waiting for. Also if you posted that your attending and later find that you can't make it then you should post saying such (you dont need to say you are not comming if you never said you were).
Space limited meets such as gym nights are a limited postion that is usually first-come first-served. So it is a wise choice to say you're coming early, but don't say your coming if you're not sure as that position could be filled by someone else.
Keep meet places easy to reach and give directions if needed. Generaly subway stations are used due to their easy access and they are not difficult to locate.
Also everyone is welcome to attend and set up meets no matter who you are or your skill level.
Meeting up
Usually meetings occur at the major cross street nearest the station.
Try to find out if anyone has a cell phone prior to the meet to make meetups easier if possible.
It is common practice to wait 20 mins after the meet up time for stragglers and those who are running late (so if the meet is at 5 people should wait to around 5:20 for others).
While Jamming
If you need help dont give it a second thought to ask anyone and while at a meet try to help others as much as possible if they ask for it.
Do not laugh, point, or make fun of another with malicious intent (this hasn't really happened but just so you know).
No matter the skill level we all are there to train for parkour so always be open to all members.
Many people have different styles and ways of moving, so we all have to accept others personal style. While we may move in different ways we are still having fun which is what really matters.
As a furthur note: this is open for changes, additions and corrections so if you feel somthing should be changed then don't hesitate to let me know.
