A message from David Belle
Following the tragic events that occured in the United Kingdom, I feel really bad for the families of these traceurs and all their close ones. Because of this I would like to have your attention for something I feel is important:
In the 17 years I practiced this art, none of the traceurs I trained with or helped get into Parkour have had any serious wounds because I instilled them all with the fundementals of Parkour and made sure these were very important to them. Proper training, countless repetition of all the movements and the care and calculation each time one is at height are very important. Make sure you are in excellent physical condition, that you can always return safely from where you have gone, and do most of your practicing at ground level. While you are waiting for more precise details on what this discipline is exactly - and I know that there are a lot out there that want to know more on this subject - please be careful and practice things little by little.
