COMMUNITIES
PKTO started off as a very small, closeknit community but has over the last 4 years turned into a massive collection of traceurs all over Southern Ontario. We are no longer "Toronto Parkour" but a bigger and greater group of people all tied together.
The communities section joins all the other communities found in Southern Ontario to one site and forum. From London to Barrie to anywhere else you can think of. If there is a community out there in your city this is a great place to start looking. If there isn't one nearby, theres always room to have one created for you and your friends to help your community grow.
Areas where there are active practitioners that have previously contacted us.
The following is a list of currently active community pages. They are run by community members in the given areas. They are monitored by PKTO to make sure the message and direction is still that of the entire community, and that they have all the support they need to help them grow safely and effectively. If your city is not on this list below, it could mean that no one has stepped up to create and organize your cities section, that there isn't a solid scene there yet to merit making the section yet, or that it's currently in the works.
The current list of communities active is as follows:
pkto.ca - Pkto's main hub serving and tying in all of Southern Ontario
pkcc.pkto.ca - Ottawa's Community
london.pkto.ca - London's community
kw.pkto.ca - Kitchener/Waterloo community
hamilton.pkto.ca - Burlington/Hamilton and even some Oakville community
mississauga.pkto.ca - Mississauga and Brampton community
Eventually the goal is to create a database of emails and contacts all over Ontario and eventually Canada, to help people connect together. Learning from others who are currently active is the best way to get into Parkour, and we intend to do all we can to help the process.
